Adm05. Get plugged!

Tuesday, May 9 | 16:00 - 16:45 | A. Okapi 3

Discover the power of plugins that can be used for IBM Connections. In my company these are heavily used, and they have been the key factor in getting users to adapting Connections, since it makes it much faster for them to share documents and emails, and increase collaboration.
Learn how administrators can skin and brand the plugins to fit with their company logo, colors and templates. A similar presentation was given by Hogne last year, but after creating a complete manual for the IBM Notes plugins and posted it online, a lot of people who missed it have asked if he can give it again.

Dev10. Unleash the Power of REST APIs with Dojo

Tuesday, May 9 | 16:00 - 16:45 | D. Gorilla 4

The message from IBM Connect 2017 to Domino Web developers is "All things API" with new capabilities from the community like OpenNTF's SmartNSF and expansion of the Domino REST API. Libraries and frameworks like Angular, React, and Vue allow developers to surface these APIs and create interactive web experience with minimal development.
For simple applications, these tools provide excellent capability with great community support. However, when applications involve complex life cycles with dynamic routing or routerless SPA you need to consider the grand daddy of Javascript frameworks, Dojo. With its flexible architecture and scalability, Dojo provide enterprise developers with many capabilities not available in other frameworks. By combining Dojo with popular CSS and Javascript libraries like Bootstrap, Fontawesome, and Chartjs one can create amazing solutions beyond want you have seen in IBM OneUI.
Join Richard Moy from Phora Group for this fast pace learning experience on how to create your own custom widgets/controllers using Dojo and extend your set of tools. This session will guide you through the process of creating individual widgets, the pitfalls to watch out for, and how to add them into any Web-based application.

Str15. Change Agents: The Superheroes For Your Organisation

Monday, May 8 | 16:00 - 16:20 | C. Gorilla 3

Senior leaders may believe otherwise, but digital transformation does not just come from the top in organisations. Cultivating digital behaviours at all levels is important if you want to create a culture of action and ownership. Handing off to middle managers to implement digital transformation as a project does not work, as has been proven time and time again.
In this presentation, Laura-Jane draws from her experience working with global clients at Post*Shift, to discuss one of the most effective methods of cultivating sustainable change - through the identification and mobilisation of a change agent network - or guiding coalition - to drive digital leadership you need for your organisational change to stick.
Learn from Laura-Jane’s in-the-field experience so that you gain:
- proven methods for supporting and enabling change agents
- clarity on the behaviours and skills to use to identify them
- benefits that change agents bring
- tips on how to overcome challenges to distributed change

Str22. Change behavior, one tiny habit at a time

Monday, May 8 | 17:00 - 17:30 | Table 2 Gorilla 1

Particularly with a social collaboration and communication platform employees can be dazzled with all the possibilities and the huge change it requires of them. For such a transformation you need more than training 'how' to use a tool, or even 'why' to use it. Tooling is the technology-push that makes new ways of working possible, but it does not make me change my work habits.
To effectively change or start behavior requires practice and we need to take small steps that are easy to do.
Follow me along in how to make change possible through practicing tiny habits.
Learn about how this fits in the whole spectrum of user adoption strategies.
Share your experiences and feedback with each other.
