Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback we have decided to go to the same hotel, the Crowne Plaza hotel in Antwerp, for the venue of our next 2-day event.
All general areas in the hotel itself have been renovated very recently,
and more than half of the rooms.
All guests can freely make use of the brand new swimming pool, sauna and fitness areas.
Wifi is free for all guests anywere in the hotel, limited to 60 Mb/day.
BLUG guests can use the code 'BLUG' to have unlimited access!
If you want to book the hotel at a better rate, use this reservation link. Read this first: Enter your check-in, check-out dates, and click 'View Rates'. Select your preferred room type, and fill in your coordinates and payment method. Note that rooms are 125 or 135 EUR. Friday and Saturday nights are only 99 EUR (this is NOT mentioned on your reservation confirmation, but will be correct when you check out). Breakfast is included in these rates. Close to the event, our contingency of rooms might be exhausted. Use the hotel's direct link to reserve a room:www.crowneplazaantwerp.be.
Car: The hotel itself is very easy to get to by car, as it is next to major highways, and on the outskirts of the city.
There is plenty of parking space at and around the hotel. Outside of the hotel it's free!
We've made arrangements with the hotel, so parking there will be cheaper (than last year).
Ask for your exit voucher at the BLUG counter, when you leave the event.
Air: It is easy to get to from the Airport of Zaventem (Brussels).
There is an hourly shuttle service from SN Brussels Airways, which is about 10 EUR per trip.
The shuttle has a stop right in front of the hotel. It takes about 45 minutes.
You can also take a taxi. This is much more expensive and will be around 85 EUR.
If Manchester or London City airports are an option for you, you can fly straight into Antwerp. The airport is small but very convenient.
From the Airport of Brussels South (Charleroi) there are regular buses to Antwerp too, about 20 EUR per trip. More info en.airportbus.eu. That bus stops at Berchem (railway) Station, 2 km. from the hotel.
Some people prefer to fly into Amsterdam, as they sometimes offer cheaper flights. From Schiphol, you can take a train to Antwerp too: www.thalys.com/fr/en/timetables. It stops at Antwerp Central station.
Railway: As the hotel is rather close (about 2 km.) from the railway station 'Antwerpen Berchem', you could take the train too.
You can also stop at Antwerp Central, which is a very beautiful railway station, but the taxi to the hotel will take longer and will be more expensive.
Late arrival at the hotel is guaranteed for BLUG guests.
I have been to numerous events over the years and this was be far the best one I can remember. The structure, venue and content was great.
Wonderful event, one of the best I have been to. Focused on IBM Notes/Domino and Connections. Just what I want.
Theo (and team) did it again ! A very professional conference, with a great value for me as a Customer!
My first Engage, and despite the long travel distance for me, hopefully not the last.
It's a privilege to be able to attend Engage and this year was, most probably, one of the very best out there!!
Awesome event, for sure an organizational masterpiece. Excellent! It's hard to believe the Engage staff is not organizing conferences as principal job ;-)
It was the best event I attended so far. And I attend about 5-8 each year!
2nd time for me attending Engage, but it was incredible again! 2 days packed with extremely informational content, a great venue and a great community!
We did more business and collected more leads during Engage 2017 in Antwerp, than at IBM Connect in San Francisco.
As a first-timer I didn't really know what to expect. The organization of the event positively surprised me!
A premiere event that rivals anything produced by any other organization. Great job...AGAIN!!!
It's a treat to always keep coming back for more! Well done, once again, and look forward to the 10th edition next year!
It is mind boggling to see two people create an event that rivals those put on by larger vendors with dozens of resources.
And huge thanks to Theo and the others for giving me my first international speaking engagement!
Theo is a legend, Theo has style. And he is putting together the best event in this space, year after year.
Engage was my first UG as a speaker and it has developed into arguably the premier user group for ICS in Europe.
Yet again a brilliantly done event. One that is used as the yard-stick by which all other user group events are measured.
Theo and Hilde did it again: Engage was bigger than last year, venue was impressive and the event most successful.
It was a pleasure, due to the efforts of Theo his team, the sponsors, the location and the participants. Much appreciated!
I was extremely impressed on all levels. Thank you to Theo Heselmans for the opportunity to speak at this event!
I’ve been to several of the past Engage conferences and Theo always puts on a great event but this was better than ever.
What can one say about this Engage, Eindhoven, NL. It is in fact THE European user group meeting,...
Theo Heselmans has raised the bar yet again as to what can be achieved with organizing an IBM User Group event.
