By Air

The nearest airport is Luxembourg Airport (LUX) at Findel, about 6 km from the city centre. From there, take the tram or a bus to Luxembourg Gare (the central station), about 20–30 minutes. Brussels, Frankfurt and Charleroi are alternatives with good rail links to Luxembourg.

By Train

Luxembourg City has one main station, Luxembourg Gare, with direct connections to Brussels, Paris, Metz, Trier and Liège. Check schedules and book tickets via CFL (national) or B-Europe (international).

By Car

Luxembourg is well connected by motorway, with the A1, A3, A4 and A6 all meeting at the capital. Expect about 2.5 hours from Brussels and about 1 hour from Metz or Trier. Parking in the city centre is limited, so we recommend a Park & Ride at the edge of town.
Warning: traffic can be very busy during rush hours!

Public Transport

Public transport in Luxembourg is free nationwide: trams, buses and second-class trains. Just hop on, with no ticket needed. For routes and timetables, use Mobilitéit.lu . Taxis and Uber are also available.
