Ana04. The Power To Believe

Monday, May 8 | 11:45 - 12:30 | E. Gorilla 5

The main differentiator for really successful companies today is data and the intelligence they draw from their data to make better and faster decisions.
Data is the new bacon!
We will provide a quick (and not very technical) overview of the hottest trends in Analytics and Big Data like Hadoop, Spark, Data Streaming and Real Time Analytics. We will discuss a number of examples from a variety of industries, with emphasis on real outcomes for business users from big data and dark data. We will discuss how combining different data sources for instance from your Domino applications, Smarter Workforce systems, business data like point of sales data with new and innovative data from weather, Twitter and government data can help you uncover hidden relationships in your data that will help you better understand your business and help you make better decisions.

Ana05. The GDPR Challenge-Less Painful Compliancy!

Tuesday, May 9 | 09:00 - 10:00 | E. Gorilla 5

We know how stressed everyone is over being compliant with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in a few short months, so we designed a way to take some of the pain out of the process! We will demonstrate the tooling that goes into the iKnow GDPR solution.
- iKnow GDPR Console
- IBM Gardium
- IBM StoredIQ
- IBM InfoSphere Information Server
The GDPR applies to all companies worldwide that process personal data of European Union (EU) citizens. This means that ANY company that works with information relating to EU citizens will have to comply with the requirements of the GDPR, making it the first global data protection law.
- The GDPR widens the definition of personal data
- Obtaining valid consent to using personal information
- Data breach notification requirement
- The right to be forgotten
- Privacy by design

Str04. Your files are a Gold Mine reloaded!

Tuesday, May 9 | 13:30 - 14:30 | B. Okapi 2

Your files are a Gold Mine reloaded! Last year Dutch Tax Office started an innovation project to explore the digital inventory on local disks, network drives, IBM Connections Files and Content Manager and attachments inside IBM Domino Databases. This year we are sharing our first insights. How did we do that, what have been the issues collecting and massaging the raw data, which way did we go on the analytics path? Last but not least what did we find? Which stories did the data tell us? How could that be used to help the business, saving money, streamlining processes, make smarter decisions?
