We are the controller of the personal data described below.
The site runs on our server at [name of the Belgian hosting provider] in Belgium. A backup and cluster server is hosted by Prominic in the USA, so a copy of the data on our server is also kept there. The site has no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. We do not store IP addresses.
The fonts (Jost and Montserrat) are loaded from Google Fonts, only if you agree below (without your agreement the site shows your device's own fonts). Once you agree, your browser asks Google's servers (Google Ireland Limited, which may pass data to Google LLC in the USA) for the font files, and Google therefore receives your IP address and browser details. Google says it does not set cookies for this and uses the requests only to serve fonts. We have no access to that data. We use Google Fonts so the site looks the same on every device. The icons (Font Awesome) are loaded from the cdnjs content delivery network run by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), also only if you agree below. Cloudflare then receives your IP address and browser details. Cloudflare says cdnjs sets no cookies and does not use these requests for tracking. Read the Cloudflare privacy policy. Details of sponsors and speakers that are published on the site can be corrected or removed on request. Your data is seen by the Engage organisers and by the hosting providers above. We do not sell or share it with anyone else.
The newsletter is sent from our own server, not by an external email service. Every email has a link to unsubscribe. You can also email info@engage.ug. We then stop sending you email.
You register for Engage on a form at Ticket Tailor, and payment is handled by Stripe. You leave this website for theirs, and what you enter there (name, email, ticket and payment details) goes to those companies, not to our server. We receive the attendee list from Ticket Tailor, which processes it for us. For attendee data we, Engage User Group vzw, are the controller. Read how they handle your data: Ticket Tailor privacy policy and Stripe privacy policy. Following the link stores nothing on our site.
With your agreement, we use your browser's local storage for functional reasons only. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. Without your agreement the theme button, favourites and filters are not available, forms are hidden, the site uses your device's own fonts and the icons are not shown.
