Lotus Notes & Domino 8.5.4: The Social Edition
This session was presented by John Beck (IBM). You heared all about the newest release of Lotus Notes and Domino, soon to be released.
John Beck is the IBM Collaboration Solutions Worldwide Messaging Business Unit Executive. He is responsible for the Notes and Domino family of products. For the previous two years, John was the Sales Leader for IBM SmartCloud for Social Business in the US West and Canada regions.
Over the course of his 17 years at IBM, John has led the release management team for the Notes & Domino development organization, managed the worldwide customer advocacy organization and spent time supporting the business partner community and technical support community.

Mark Osborn (IBM) presented this session, 1 day before the official release of this much anticipated major update.
Mark leads the technical organization for IBM Social Business and Collaboration software in Europe. With over 17 years of international IT industry experience, he's passionate about helping organizations archive their business goals through the adoption of Enterprise Social Software and Web 2.0.He has a truly international outlook; he has lived and worked in the UK, Germany and Singapore, with the last 11 years in transnational roles.
Mark began his career in internet technology in the early-90s convincing blue-chips why they needed something called a "web-site" and a "dot.com" address. In an early project he deployed and drove adoption of one of the first Lotus Notes groupware applications for the IBM Business Partner "marketing-rewards" network. He gained invaluable experience in the far-east managing the Singapore branch of an international IT consultancy for four years. Moving to London to focus on Web Content Management with the Aptrix organization, he then joined IBM with the company's acquisition of in 2003, becoming IBM Europe Sales Leader for WCM.
In his current role Mark is focused on helping customers gain success with their IBM social and collaboration software through technical and organization adoption.
Mark is a keen sci-fi fan and lives in the historic town of St Albans, just north of London and is married with four children and a dog, so life's never boring!
