Events | BLUG event: March 22-23, 2012: Abstracts
We're prepping for our next big 2-day event on March 22-23, 2012,
Here's more info regarding the hotel and reduced rate room-reservation.
On previous occasions, we had some famous speakers (2011) and also in 2010.
We want to see you do a presentation too.
Let us know if you have a great topic you would like to talk about.
A normal session takes between 45 and 60 minutes (depending on the slot in the agenda). Please allow 5 to 10 minutes for Q&A.
If you have a Jumpstart or Show 'n Tell session, you can apply for a 2 hour session.
All sessions have to be presented in English. We prefer you bring your own laptop for doing the presentation.
All rooms are equipped for projection, and have wireless internet connection (we've had hardly any problem last time, so I guess it is pretty reliable).
We are going to have 4 tracks: Administration, Development, Business and Commercial (gold/platinum sponsors only).
Please submit your abstract before February 7th, 2012. This will allow us to sort through the submissions.

PS. All non-commercial, non-IBM speakers will get their hotel-expenses covered by BLUG, for 3 nights max. (depending on the generosity of our sponsors).
You have to book your room yourself (use the link). We'll tell the hotel 2 weeks upfront, whom's expenses we cover.
We are known to treat our guests very well, and want to keep this tradition going (yes, we will have chocolates in serious quantities again).
An exciting pre-conference VIP event for all speakers and main sponsor representatives is planned.
Antwerp and other cities in Belgium (Bruges, Ghent, Brussels, Liège, ...) are well worth visiting, so extend your stay and enjoy. Paris and Amsterdam are only a few hours away by train.

- Originality (if 5 people want to talk about Connections, we're not going to approve them all)
- Timeliness (don't submit a session about using calendar views in Notes 4.5)
- Interest and Relation to all thing Lotus (Jumla development might be interesting, but not that many people will be interested, nor is it relevant)
- Availability of slots (we can approve around 40 sessions)
- Track record as a speaker
