We're prepping for our next big 2-day event on March 30-31 (a Monday & Tuesday), 2015,

this time at 'Het Pand' in Ghent, Belgium, about 30 minutes from Antwerp and 40 from Brussels.

Here's more info regarding the nearby hotels and reduced rate room-reservation.

On previous occasions, we had some excellent speakers (2014) and also in 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010.

We want to see you do a presentation too.
Let us know if you have a great topic you would like to talk about.

A normal session takes between 45 and 60 minutes (depending on the slot in the agenda).
Please allow 5 to 10 minutes for Q&A.
If you have a Jumpstart or Show 'n Tell session, you can apply for a 2 hour session.
All sessions have to be presented in English. We prefer you bring your own laptop/tablet for doing the presentation.
All rooms are equipped for projection, and have wireless internet connection (we hope it is pretty reliable).

We are going to have 5 tracks:
Administration, Development, Business Cases, Strategy/Deployment and Commercial (gold/platinum sponsors only).
Please submit your abstract before February 7th, 2015. This will allow us to sort through the submissions.
Some of the criteria for being approved are:
  • Originality (if 5 people want to talk about Connections, we're not going to approve them all)
  • Timeliness (don't submit a session about using calendar views in Notes 4.5)
  • Interest and Relation to all thing IBM Collaboration Solutions (aka Lotus) (Jumla development might be interesting, but not that many attendees will be interested, nor is it relevant)
Note that, in the spirit of 'Connected 2015' we're looking forward to 'Beyond the Everyday' abstracts.
  • Availability of slots (we can approve around 40 sessions)
  • Track record as a speaker (note that we have had first-time speakers at every Engage event, so go for it)

Abstracts are closed as of Feb. 8th.

*All submitted sessions are subject to the Engage's approval

PS. All non-commercial, non-IBM speakers will get their hotel-expenses covered by Engage, for 3 nights max. (depending on the generosity of our sponsors).
You have to book a room yourself (use the hotel link above). We'll tell the hotel 2 weeks up-front, whom's expenses we cover.
We are known to treat our guests very well, and want to keep this tradition going (yes, we will have chocolates in serious quantities again).
An exciting conference Speaker Dinner (for all speakers and main sponsor representatives) is planned, for MONDAY evening at another cool venue in the center of the city: The Foyer!
Ghent and other cities in Belgium and The Netherlands (Bruges, Antwerp, Brussels, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, ...) are well worth visiting, so extend your stay and enjoy. All of the interesting cities are relatively nearby, and can be reached by car or train in less than an hour.
